two truths and a lie...

so we've been working on these three panaled things, i think they're called triptograph or tryphectom or something like that, i can't remember. anyway, we're supposed to have it tell something about ourselves, truths, lies, whatever. i interpreted that to be like that game you play when want to get to know people, two truths and a lie. so i worked off that idea and decided to use books, since they kinda have that basis of lies and truths. so this is basically my finished product. i'm not sure if i like it, i think it looks a little sloppy, but maybe someone else will think otherwise.

We also started working on self portraits. i like mine, it's not bad. though i think i'm a little too pink in it. anyway, here it is.

in other news, i saw and advanced preview of mamma mia! with hannah last night and it was so cute. i almost won a t-shirt with there stupid pre-show bingo, anyway i was two short of winning, oh well. i'm going to pittsburg tomorrow to visit carnegie mellon, though i dont think im going to like it, i haven't heard good things about it.

so here's my self portrait that says something about myself. i did it in paint by numbers because there is no one thing that describes myself, its all based on my mood, i cannot be defined. in the key, i left it all blank because, once again, i d
on't have one color that describes who i am, the background (# 15 in the key) is also blank except for the words "undecided, unpredictable, undescribed, (which i know isn't a word)" anyway its basically because i don't have any idea who i am or where i want to be. so yea, after all this talking about it i bet you'd like to see it?

nice work! the paint by numbers approach to self portraiture is terrific, and really talks about the uncertainty of who you could be and where you could go. a terrific response!

and the triptych is really nice - those patterns are fantastic. well done!
